MOVIE REVIEW: The Grinch
The new Grinch movie was very very nice.
The new Grinch in the movie was a nice fellow who had social problems and was too shy and couldn't mix. Benedict Cumberbatch was paid to not sound anything like himself, so it was a nice guessing game. Cindy Lou Who was kind of like Peppermint Patty, who is very nice Peanuts character. The art direction was phenomenal, which seems to be the highest priority nowadays, because the movie really is nice to look at. Nice background music too.
My favorite part: the Grinch, whose meanest deed seems to be breaking his alarm clock radio, cannot stop The Ray Conniff Singers. ‘Cause they rule!
The Jim Carrey version had a mean streak that kind of crossed the line. This one makes up for that with a whole lotta. The read along for the Jim Carrey version is, however, quite good and was nominated for a Grammy, just saying.
Maybe they should make a third or fourth Grinch? Or Mrs. Grinch? Little Grinchies? This film did very well, so you never know…
